Multifunctional The Bt30-Pen (Birth to 30 kg) is a unit pen for a sow with a litter of piglets that subsequently stays in the pen until 30 kg or slaughter, while the sow is moved.
The pen accommodates the wish for loose nursing sows in the farrowing unit and at the same time a reduction of the spent working hours in relation to moving animals and cleaning - two tasks that are often at the bottom of the list of work in which you take pleasure. When the animals are spared the movement the stress strain is reduced to a minimum. Thus a decline in production due to stagnancy in growth or maybe weight loss and increased decease pressure is avoided. The pen is made of CLEAN-O-FLEX®. This means that all side partitions are made of plastic and stainless steel. All openings are closed tightly with plastic plugs and this contributes to an optimum hygiene in the unit. Complete the pen with stainless steel troughsand MASTER Floor® cast iron slats.

Climate corner The climate corner covers 1 square metre, thus there is room for an entire litter of piglets until approx. 30 kg - i.e. during the entire weaner and piglet period.
The climate corner is mounted to the passage and has a transparent lid that offers the complete overview of all piglets without entering the pen. Integrated blocking plate included - for easy blocking of the climate corner. |
